Please be aware of the following Basketball Court closures:
- Half Gym Wednesday, Oct 15th- Nov 3- Haunted House Construction
- Half Gym Thursday November 13th- 1st & 2nd Grade Basketball Evals
- Full Gym Friday, November 14th from 3 pm-7pm
- Fully Gym Saturday, November 15th from 8 am – 7 pm
- Full Gym Tuesdays, November 18th and 25th for 1st & 2nd grade basketball practice from 5:30 pm to 9pm.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Nov 1st – Food truck Festival at Lake Willastein
Nov 1st Splash Pad- The splash pad is closed for the season.
Nov 3rd- 1st & 2nd Basketball Registration closed
Nov 9th- Free Play Tennis for all levels at the Beth Rutledge tennis courts from 2 pm-4 pm. Must have a membership to play. Bring your rackets and join in the fun. The group will meet on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Sundays from 2 pm to 4 pm, weather permitting.
Nov 11th, Veterans Day- The Community Center will be open regular hours with part-time staff.
Nov 11th, Veterans Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial located at Lake Willastein Park. The ceremony starts at 10 am with Maumelle’s Fire Chief, Command Sergeant Major of the 176th Medical Brigade Army Reserve, Beau Buford, as the guest speaker. This event is open to the public.
Nov 15th- Mistletoe Market. Ladies' shopping event at the Jess Odom Community Center Gym from 1 pm to 4 pm
Nov 21st - Arbor Day Tree planting celebration starts at 3:30 pm. Location will be at the Pickleball courts.
PROGRAMS
1st & 2nd Grade Basketball
Maumelle Parks and Recreation is excited to offer an in-house co-ed basketball league for 1st and 2nd graders! Teams will be drafted by staff, coached by volunteer parents, and officiated by paid referees.
Skills Evaluation: Thursday, November 13th (6 PM- 7:30 PM)
Practices Begin: Tuesday, November 18th (6–7 PM or 7–8 PM)
Games: Fridays at 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM
Dec. 12 & 19, Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb. 6
A “Pictures Night” will be scheduled for families who wish to purchase photos.

Are you a student in 10th–12th grade who wants to make a difference in your community? Join the Maumelle Youth Council and help plan events, learn about local government, and earn volunteer hours — all while having fun and making new friends!

Pickleball League Play – Fall League play will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from October 2nd to November 6th on courts 1-4.
